One job on mobile. A whole source desk on Mac.

Both apps send live video and audio directly to a compatible SwitchEffect device. The Mac app is built to manage several independent sources at once.

iPhone + iPad

SwitchEffect Camera

Use the camera already in your pocket as a wireless production source.

  • Send a built-in camera, a supported USB camera on iPad, or Accsoon SeeMo video.
  • Adjust zoom, focus, exposure, white balance, stabilization, framing, and audio.
  • See Preview and Program tally, keep trusted switchers paired, and reconnect quickly.
  • Share the device’s entire screen on iOS and iPadOS 27.
Mac

SwitchEffect Camera for Mac

Turn the cameras and screens connected to your Mac into separate SwitchEffect inputs.

  • Add multiple camera sources and start or stop them together.
  • Use built-in, USB, and Continuity cameras, plus supported Blackmagic DeckLink inputs.
  • Share an entire display or a chosen window, with optional system audio.
  • Preview each source, watch its tally, and set quality, resolution, audio, and reconnection separately.

Local by design

Your feed takes the direct route.

SwitchEffect Camera discovers SwitchEffect on your local network. After you approve pairing, video and audio travel directly between your devices—without an account, cloud relay, or intermediate server.

How Camera handles your content

System requirements

Start with what you have.

Some newer source types depend on system capture features introduced in later OS releases.

15+

iOS and iPadOS

SwitchEffect Camera supports iOS and iPadOS 15 or later. USB camera support requires iPadOS 17 or later.

iOS/iPadOS 27: required to share the device’s screen, including optional device audio.
13+

macOS

SwitchEffect Camera for Mac supports macOS 13 or later. Screen and window sharing, and Continuity Camera, require macOS 14 or later.

DeckLink: also requires compatible Blackmagic Design hardware and its capture software.
Local network

For every setup

SwitchEffect Camera and the receiving SwitchEffect device must be on a network where they can discover and reach each other. Available resolutions, frame rates, controls, and audio options vary by device, camera, and capture hardware.
